Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus) She is one of the children of Sergey. Their father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was crowned Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2023. Doubles is an additional area in which she has a great record. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both won with Elise Mertens. Then she also won The Sunshine Double in 2019, winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. Only four couples were able to win this title in women's doubles. The Belarusian rose from second place to third in the singles world ranking on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her top ranking was again achieved in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself up to first place on February the following year following her victory in Melbourne and becoming the 2nd tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach for the duration of 2018, till her season came to an end in 2019 and then for a limited duration at the beginning of 2020. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September of 2020. At the time of her retirement, she has been coached by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
